About the role

Every module in Octopus writes to a single operational data layer; that's the platform's superpower, and your raw material. You'll build the pipelines and models that turn it into reliable reporting, forecasting and the retrieval corpora behind our AI features. The data you ship decides what a tour operator sees at 8 a.m. and what our agents reason over.

What you'll do

• Build and operate pipelines from the platform's modules into the analytical layer
• Model reservation, operation and finance data so it stays queryable as the schema evolves
• Feed both classic reporting and ML/AI features from the same trusted layer
• Own data quality and observability: freshness, completeness, lineage
• Work with the AI team on feature stores and retrieval corpora

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of data engineering in production
• Deep SQL and solid Python
• Experience with a modern orchestrator (Airflow, Dagster or similar)
• You treat pipelines as products: tested, versioned, observable
• Working proficiency in English

Nice to have

• dbt in production
• Streaming experience (Kafka or similar)
• Exposure to BI / reporting tools
