Apply for this roleAbout the role
Octopus grows module by module, and every module starts with someone truly understanding the operation it replaces. You'll sit between the field (DMCs, tour operators, their purchasing, operations and accounting teams) and our product and engineering teams. You'll map real workflows, spot where manual work hides, and turn that into requirements, acceptance criteria and priorities. You're also the person who flags what our AI and automation work should take on next.
What you'll do
- Analyze how DMCs and tour operators run purchasing, sales and operations today, and document the gap to how Octopus should run them
- Turn field findings into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work with product managers to prioritize the backlog by operational impact
- Identify high-volume manual processes as candidates for automation and AI features
- Validate delivered features against the real-world flows they replace
What we're looking for
- 2+ years as a business or product analyst on a B2B software product
- You can read a process, not just a spec: flows, exceptions, edge cases
- Strong documentation habits: process diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria
- Comfortable interviewing operational users and challenging assumptions
- Working proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Tourism industry background (agency, operator or hotel side)
- Enough SQL to answer your own questions
- Experience working alongside AI / automation teams
